Passengers Please Note: No transfers are allowed from Gloucester Crossing (Orange Line) and Blackburn Industrial Park (Green Line) to lines of another color.
CharlieCards now accepted by CATA.
Anywhere along the route, as well as at designated bus stops, passengers wishing to board the bus may wave to the driver and the driver will stop at the first safe location. Passengers must stand on the same side of the road as the bus. During school pick-up and drop-off, Wave-A-Bus is not in effect.
STUDENT PASS OPTIONS
- The Unlimited Pass: An annual or semester pass that allows the holder unlimited use of the CATA system at no additional cost per ride.
- Semester Pass: $100.00
- Annual Pass: $200.00
- The Pass Plus: An annual pass that allows the holder to ride at a reduced fare of 50 cents per trip.

STATEWIDE TRANSPORTATION ACCESS PASS
The Statewide Transportation Access Pass program is a reduced-fare program for Massachusetts residents who have a disability and use the public transportation system. This pass allows you to pay a reduced fare in your local service area and use other transit authority services across the state at a reduced rate, including the MBTA.

or picked up from the CATA Administration and Operations Center in Gloucester at 3 Pond Road. Customers can also request an application be mailed, faxed, or emailed.
Once you have completed the form, please call 978-283-1886 to schedule an appointment.
Completed applications cannot be emailed or faxed to the office. There is a $3 processing fee for new and renewal TAP passes. There is a $5 fee for replacement/lost cards. For additional information about the TAP pass, please call 978-283-1886.
SENIOR CHARLIE CARDS
Seniors (60+) can apply for a senior Charlie Card at the CATA Operations Center in Gloucester. Senior Charlie Cards are valid for a reduced fare on CATA, the MBTA, and other transit authorities in Massachusetts. Please call 978-283-1886 to schedule an appointment. There is a $3 processing fee for new and renewal Senior Charlie Cards. There is a $5 fee for replacement/lost cards.
**Customers do not have to switch to TAP/Senior Charlie Cards for CATA reduced fares, Medicare and IDs will continue to be valid
**TAP and Senior Charlie Cards are not valid for a reduced fare on CATA's Dial-A-Ride or ADA Paratransit services
- For your safety, do not cross in front of the bus. Let the bus pass and look both ways before crossing street.
- No smoking, eating or drinking.
- No loud talking, noise or radios
- Offensive behavior will not be tolerated. The offender will be subject to ejection from the bus.
- Pay or show pass upon boarding-exact change is required,
- Appropriate dress, shirt and shoes required.
- No rollerblades
- Only caged or service animals allowed.

- Columbus Day
- Veterans Day

Reports of bus service interruption due to weather or other emergencies will be broadcast on WBOQ 104.9 FM.
